Our nuggets are out in 5 minutes and the Lappa comes our just after we finish the nuggets. Even when they are busy we have never had to wait long for our food. Sometimes we don't feel like the pineapple that comes with the Lappa so we substitute broccoli for no extra charge (not that it would even matter because it's pretty affordable- $35 for the two of us including tip!). it is the perfect amount of food to split between us and so delicious! They are super accommodating as well. I certainly won't go back, especially knowing that a much better dining experience awaits in Cambridge.Absolutely Delicious!!! Our family's favourite restaurant for sure! We always start with the Soy Nuggets (we honestly felt the need to double check that they were soy the first time! They are just like McDonalds chicken nuggets but SO much better and cruelty free!) and then my husband and I split the Sweet and Sour Lappa with two sides of white rice. All in all, not a good experience for us. Parking is good, off-street and ample, beside the house. The bathrooms are uncomfortably close to the table we were seated at. The old house that the restaurant is located in, although charming, is not well set up in the kitchen area. No explanations were given to us for the terrible delay in bringing our food. But I heard a lot of leisurely chatting coming from the kitchen - in another language so could not understand - and through an open door saw a man standing there, obviously not a staff person. Where are the coordinates of the Zen Gardens Latitude: 43.544260519715. These gardens continued to develop in the Muromachi period. When we were leaving, unhappily and much later than we intended to, another customer said they were having staffing problems. Sekitei first became popular in the Kamakura Era (1185-1333), following the arrival of Zen Buddhism from China in the late 13th Century. We had ordered jasmine tea with our licious but a very small pot with even tinier glasses, smaller than shot glasses, I'm sure. It was only a half slice of banana bread (although baked fresh) but no big deal. (It wasn't!) We had to leave before we could eat the dessert that was included in the combination meal. When the main dishes trickled out, there was no replenishment of the little sauce dishes that should have accompanied them. We had started with water and only once did someone come to refill our glasses. Japanese water garden designed by Robert Ketchell, established borders.

The "chicken" dish was delicious, but by this time we had been there for 1.25 hours and the charm had worn off. The walled kitchen garden with a Victorian greenhouse rebuilt exactly how it was. Salad section was very ordinary, nothing special. Some of the pre-prepared pieces, like the soy nuggets, had obviously been sitting for a while as they were almost cold. The Japanese-Garden Aesthetics of Robert Lepage: Shukukei, Mitate, and Fusuma-e in Seven Streams of the River Ota and Other Works. The irony is that the last three meals were all the same! They were the combination plate which is like a bento box meal. After another gap, the last meal (mine) came out. After a long while (too long), the first dish came out.

We ordered our main dishes and here is where it all fell apart. We ordered from the plentiful and wonderful menu and the appetizers came out in not-bad time. There were 5 of us and we had phoned ahead! They know we were coming. There was only one other couple already eating when we got there, but it took forever for the sole waitperson to come to set us up at our table. As another reviewer also observed, we were not attended to quickly. This is a chain or franchise, so menus are similar. As vegans, we appreciate a restaurant like this and have eaten at the one in Cambridge, which was superb. But our meal was a disaster and it ruined our plans for the evening. Clearly, there was something wrong at the restaurant last night. I acknowledge first off that I am torn about this review.
